S. Orso fair

This traditional Valdaostan craftwork fair has taken place for more than a thousand years, in fact we’ve just seen the 1008th edition.
The legend narrates that St. Orso – around the collegiate church named after him - used to give typical wooden clogs called “sabots” to the poor.
Nowadays the fair occupies the whole of the city centre of Aosta and every year attracts thousands of visitors, eager to admire the works of the many exhibitors: master pieces in wood or in wrought iron, baskets, toys, lace and local materials, but also lathe-work, sculpture and bas-reliefs.
What are you waiting for? You can’t miss the next edition!
